< About Jim >

Here I am with a Domke FX3 Super Compact which is still on the market, http://www.tiffen.com/

I've seen it all, and motivated to share what I see. Living in Texas the largest supplier of oil and gas in the 48 states I want to show how it competes with imported oil and meets Americas energy needs. As contributing photographer to the Fort Worth Basin oil & Gas magazine I cover all facets from drilling to pipeline transmission. I retain rights to all photos and FWBOG lets me handle sales. If a photo of you appeared in the magazine you can purchase a print by going to http://www.digipic.photoreflect.com/

As a freelance photographer or imaging consultant, whatever you call it, I'm a professional. As graphic design, layout, multi-media come together in the 21st century, I call myself simply a visual artist, who can take photos anywhere, quickly, and discreetly. I capture all angles so you'll have a variety of choices, whether it is in the computer, slide show or video.

I've been working with digital images since selling the camera bag business in 1990 and moving to Texas to be Sunday photo editor and imaging specialist at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. I started freelancing with a weekly column about successful entrepreneurs, "Business Strategies" and left the paper in 2000 to teach photography and Photoshop at Tarrant County Community College, and have added clients from Studio IJN in Dallas, Bloomberg News along with businesses in the energy industry.

As an artist I've designed stationary, greeting cards and posters highlighting energy in Texas.
